Gosh it's been years.... but I'm very proud of my crocheted sampler rug that I made for my gorgeous grand daughter Matilda. The patterns were mostly sourced from Pinterest and most of them, or at least those that I could pin, have been pinned on my Crochet & Knit board. Doesn't it look great!!
I love the border which used a lot of wool and took four nights to complete!!
There is 54 x 7" squares. There are 9 multi-coloured designs, each in 3 different colour combinations. There is also 9 different patterns, each done in the 3 main colours of purple, white and lime green. There was a touch of lavender used in the multi-coloured squares. It was also used in the border and also to crochet the squares together.

Finished at last......
I had a lot of fun making this layout, so I thought I would share. It was started about 4 weeks ago but I have been a bit too busy over the last few weeks to get it finished.
I finally finished it yesterday. Lots of different things were used to give my pages that country feel.
Corrugated cardboard and ink was used to make my rusted iron. Rubons and ink was used to give my gumleaves and title chipboard letters that rustic look. The technique was supplied by Rachelle Minett from Scrapping Outback. Worth a look....just click on the link.

The Latest Annoyance...
The latest annoyance is the length of time my phone rings. I can remember the last time changed my plan, hmmmm...... maybe 4-5 years ago, I decided that I didn't want the messagebank. I had to call to have it removed and my son suggested that I should extend the ringtime at the same time .....which I did.
Well I have just changed my phone and plan and you guessed it......it's back, the message bank and the standard 15 second ringtime. So I decided to call telstra and as expected they were very busy and I was put into line. While I was waiting, I was googling.....you know how I love googling and I googled the issue...the ringtime. I found lots of sites discussing the way to fix it without calling (so I hung up on telstra), which was great as well as the section on the telstra site where they give you the instruction. It was so easy I thought I would share it with anyone who's interested. BTW this will only work for telstra, but there is a fix for other companies....just google it.
The procedure is as follows......
You extend the ringtime to 30 seconds (which is the maximum) by dialling the following phone number...
**61*101**30# (don't forget to press the call button).....then hang up.

Office 2007 annoyance
I'm not sure if anybody else has noticed that Word in Office 2007 has this annoying thing of double spacing after hitting enter. I couldn't work out why when it always says single spacing. The same thing happened to RozPoz when she was making a list, which was annoying as it made her document sooooo long (it was a long list and of course in large print...lol). So i googled, you know how I love google and found the following fixes. We have tried the first fix and it was for when you are actually typing you document instead of typing ENTER you hold SHIFT then ENTER. This will give you a single space instead of a double.
A method somebody clever came up with to permanently fix this (and it works) is as follows:
1. First, open the styles window (Alt-Ctrl-Shift-S)
2. Click the third icon on the bottom (Manage Styles)
3. Click the Modify.........button somewhere near the middle of the window.
4. Open the Format submenu in the bottom left corner and select Paragraph.
5. Change 'Spacing' After from 10 pt to 0 pt. Leave all else as is.
6. Click OK, then in the window still open, select the 'New Documents based on this template' option... then click OK.
7. Then in the window still open, select the 'New Documents based on this template' option...yes again...then click OK.
I used all these steps but the originator said that some may be redundant. Let me know if this has helped anybody else other than RozPoz and myself.

Sorry....been a bit slack. Not a lot to share except for a few nerdy things in blogger. I removed the borders around my header, which looks much better. I made a favicon and installed it, now that was a bit of a marathon and it took several failed attempts before I found a method that worked. I have saved all my instructions and will post them at some time in case anyone is interested. As I said, I love knowing how to do something, sometimes more than the doing. It may not seem like much is happening but it's all going on in the background......

Off the fence....
I'm off the fence and into the dashboard (blogger talk)......
I love all things technical and have always wanted to learn about web etc. Some clever people have now made this so, so simple for just about anyone to have a go. I just couldn't stand it any longer, I just had to have a blog.......This will be a work in progress while I get things the way I want.
So this is day one....here we go. :-)
